One of the first designs from the Black Widow R&D dept of our CRF1000 DE-cat headers, we used tough 1.5mm thick stainless tube on this design, able to withstand demanding off road conditions, the two front pipes use a spring fit on the inside between the pipe and the engine to reduce the possibility of damage.
Some passengers complain of the heat from the original catalytic converter, the large internal surface area acts as a heat sink and radiates heat, our exhaust allows the gas to pass cleanly through to the muffler. This enables us to lose the covers and show a much cleaner rear section.
Fully compatible with the OEM muffler our de-cat header will also work with any other muffler designed for the OEM header. We will also be releasing our range of mufflers/silencers with the headers to offer a complete system. Please note if you have a very small muffler/silencer you bike will become louder without the catalytic converter.
